Come back kids.

As you may have noticed I wrote my last post a couple of minutes ago. I'm sure if you've read it you figured out why, but I want to keep up to date. So it's 2.45 am, at least I'm in my jammies in bed, NOT out being reckless. Still, my back muscles did over time from chairs with no backs and my calf muscles are paying me back for a whole day in heels so it's not like I'm getting off easy.

Again as said in last post I am all about comebacks right now. I was pretty disappointed with my favorite designers last season, and the fact I have no desire to buy anything that isn't Alaia right now kinda says it all. I haven't even managed to post a picture of anything that (in the immortal words of Rachel Zoe) "I DIE" for, and could probably reel of a list of designers that, up until yesterday, I was in a massive strop with. Today has changed things and we're back on. My love affair with Charles Anastase has been re-instated. I haven't informed my boyfriend yet but he'll just have to deal with it. To be honest when the first three looks came out, although they were beautiful, I had a little panic attack about him going down the same route as last season. But then the girls Charles dreams up that bare little or no reference to the last, other than 13 inch heels, started coming down the runway and I decided I definitely couldn't live without him, or his face paints.

I was reminiscing with the editor of the magazine I first interned at today about this orange Emilio De La Morena dress she has, that I remember being so fucking jealous of. I think it was just before everyone started going structured body-con crazy and I had literally never seen anything like it. In the past few seasons I've sort of ignored Emilio, I kind of felt like he played it safe (for him), and that I knew what I could expect from his shows, which was definitely not how I felt when I saw his early work. That being said I've always thought of him as amazingly talented, and his construction is incredible, but literally nothing could have prepared me for his new collection. Me and my friend were actually clutching each others hands we were that excited. This is another one of those shows where the photos just don't do the clothes and the way they look in the flesh justice. I'm sure a video will crop up in a few days, but until then, you kind of get the idea. It was this good... and now times it by ten.

Ann-Sofie Back is another one of those designers that I completely adore, and after not showing last season she fits quite nicely into the comeback demographic. Although her last collection was definitely not shit and made and scrunch my face up and make stupid noises because "I luv her so friggin much!!!!!!!". For the past few weeks I've been dreaming about a way to bring back some of the awful things I had in my wardrobe when I was 13 or 14. The late 90's will always be remembered for pedal pushers, chavvy slick hair, waistbands that sit somewhere in the middle of the modern low or high waist and strappy sandals. Obviously this was all with a black gothy edge to it, in my brain. Ann-Sofie went one better and the first look came complete with a black nylon drawstring back-pack similar to something you used to get in JD Sports... with BATWINGS. I swear she thinks for me.

I still have more to show and tell but it will have to wait until tomorrow because I have sleepy eyes and am not making much sense.
